This week, we are proud to announce that our very own Guy Hanson was unanimously elected as the new chairman for the IAB’s Email Council. Guy is a respected and credible thought leader with 10 years of email marketing experience and 5 years of trade association experience.
The IAB email council is made up of brands, communication, creative and full service agencies, data owners and digital marketing suppliers. To achieve the goals that he has set out for the council, Guy will be actively recruiting for additional members to join the email council. The mission of the council is to help marketers find the best role for email marketing, to engage customers and build their brands through education and inspiration. As such, the IAB hosts regular Ready Steady Email workshops and networking events where delegates gain an insight into email marketing, its key benefits and best practice. Guy regularly speaks at such events on a plethora of topics including future trends in email such as his recent Gazing Into my Crystal Inbox presentation.
This appointment, alongside Richard Gibson’s long-standing involvement as chair of the DMA’s Email Council, is a testament to Return Path’s subject matter expertise and thought leadership and we are proud to be involved in chairing important groups with leading industry bodies in the UK.
