Return Path Has Interns! Meet Engineering Intern Trey Kind
Summer is officially here, which means we have interns! Our summer internship program, Email Genius Academy, kicked off three weeks ago, and we are thrilled to have our current class of interns on board!
Each week, we will spotlight an intern in a blog post, giving you a sense of what it’s like to be a part of the Email Genius Academy team.
This week’s spotlight features Trey Kind, an Email Optimization Engineering Intern, who works in the Broomfield, Colorado office.
Tell us a little about yourself!
I moved from my hometown of Austin, Texas to attend Colorado State University. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. While there, I developed a love for hiking and outdoor photography.
What made you want to intern at Return Path?
While in school, I found an affinity for data-driven projects, and I decided to pursue a career working with data. When I first heard about Return Path, it was described as a “solution suite using the most powerful email data platform”, which sounded like my sort of company.
What are your main projects at Return Path?
My main project is working on a reporting service that clients can use to generate a report of data from all of our services, rather than generating a report for each service individually. Ideally, this will allow for easier and more customizable report generation.
What do you enjoy the most about being an intern at Return Path?
Being an intern at Return Path allows me to make connections between my knowledge at school and real-world projects and problems.
When you’re not working, what can you be found doing in Colorado?
I can be found exploring many of the parks and bike trails around the foothills.
What is your spirit animal?
An owl. I have a bad habit of staying up late and going for night time walks.
