Join Us at the Online Trust Forum 2011
On October 17th – 19th, Return Path will be attending the 6th Annual OTA Online Trust Forum in Washington DC. The theme this year is “Realizing the Promise of Trust,” and we are thrilled to be participating in and sponsoring this event. The Forum will address the business, technical and regulatory challenges impacting online trust and confidence in online services and communications. We’re looking forward to keynotes by the Federal Trade Commission, Center for Democracy & Technology and Publishers Clearing House.
Return Path President George Bilbrey will be speaking as part of the “Winning in the Inbox” panel along with John Scarrow, General Manager of Microsoft, Pat Peterson, CEO of AMI and Erik Johnson, EVP eCert.
Email Authentication as a solution to spam and forged email has finally reached a tipping point. With the increase of spear phishing targeting the enterprise and governments worldwide, email authentication is a key tool to help protect both consumers and employees. Session will share key research findings and demonstrate the technical and business value to consumers and business users and how tops brands and government agencies continue to be spoofed. Adoption metrics will be shared focusing on the importance of how SPF and DKIM and how combined are proving to be an effective counter-measure.
Sam Masiello, General Manager and Chief Security Officer at Return Path will be on a panel along with Aaron Weller, CEO Concise Computing and Lars Harvey, CEO, Internet Identity examining “The Aftermath of Sony, Comodo, Epsilon and Citibank: Will your brand be next?”
Is security part of your company’s DNA? This session will review OTA’s “Security by Design” framework and other best practices to better protect, detect and remediate the growing threat landscape. Industry leaders will discuss how security and data practices should be part of your marketing value proposition and how to respond to customers. Case study of the transformation to a “security (and privacy) by design” corporate culture.
These are only two of the many discussions, breakouts and panels. If you haven’t already registered, consider doing so now – Early Bird Registration ends on August 12th. Don’t forget to get in your nominations for the 2011 Online Trust Leadership Awards by September 12th.
