Email Marketing Manager
What’s your role here at Return Path?
I design, code, and manage email on the digital marketing team at Return Path. No, I’m not a spammer.
What initially brought you here?
Return Path was looking to expand in Indianapolis about two years ago. Some former colleagues were going to be starting the office here and I jumped on board.
Tell me something I don’t know about Return Path’s own email marketing efforts.
We have close to 40,000 contacts on our prospect newsletter list. We only had 18,000 when we switched ESPs a year and a half ago.
What energizes you about your role at Return Path?
I’m pretty free to explore my creativity here so when I’m able to push the envelope with email design and code, I get pretty excited. Luckily, my team is incredibly talented and there’s always a well of creative assets to draw from.
What problem is the most fun to solve?
When I come across a weird email bug I’m initially annoyed, but get a real rush when I finally figure it out.
What about you might come as a surprise to those that work closely with you?
I taught myself guitar in high school and still play to this day. I’m not very good but it’s fun.
What’s the most memorable email campaign you’ve seen lately?
LootCrate sent out an amazing email for their Stranger Things themed subscription box recently that caught my attention. It plays on elements of the show, but even people that haven’t seen it can appreciate the final product.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Return Path?
My team. I’m very fortunate to be on the digital marketing team and genuinely enjoy working with all of them.
