Welcome Dennis Dayman, Chief Privacy and Security Officer
The speed of change in data driven marketing has been truly amazing, forcing entire industry sectors to cooperate and share intelligence in a remarkably open way as we all navigate a constantly shifting landscape. A number of visionary data governance and privacy experts have emerged from this evolving new world, and few are as well travelled or well regarded as Dennis Dayman. As a speaker and writer, Dennis has helped innumerable organizations, including Return Path, understand and prepare for the challenges of today’s dynamic regulatory and technological environment. Now as we contemplate our clients’ needs and ours in an increasingly data dependent marketing future, we’re excited to have Dennis guiding us through it as our chief privacy and security officer.
Many of you know Dennis from his leadership at Eloqua and then Oracle after its 2012 acquisition of the world’s leading marketing automation solution. As its chief privacy and security officer, Dennis helped the company protect its users and maintain progressive data management policies that fueled growth and positioned Eloqua to become the centerpiece of Oracle’s marketing cloud. His experience in the email marketing world ranges from fraud prevention and deliverability management to emerging compliance and legislative issues. In short, Dennis ranks among the most respected authorities in the marketing world on balancing business needs, customer advocacy, and privacy regulation.
As Return Path and our clients enter a new era of marketing in which data is our most critical business asset and customer relationships are the difference between failure and survival—and where the rules of privacy and information management are changing almost daily—Dennis will help us anticipate those changes and steer confidently into the future. We’re grateful to have him – welcome, Dennis!
